I live in Amaoti. I
started volunteering
for Lungisani Indlela
from February 2008,
helping with After
Care, after I did my
ABET (English literacy course) through Lungisani Indlela in 2007.

I am now a youth worker working with Back-to-School. I have a good relationship with my team mates, they help me a lot in my spiritual growth. Lungisani Indlela is impacting my life in a good way.

Our emphasis lies on empowering and supporting members of the Amaoti community. Our projects are managed by previously unemployed community members, who after receiving training from Lungisani Indlela, now work tirelessly to transform their own community.

The team is led by Theo (General Manager) and Zanele (Chief Operating Officer) Brown, they head up a team of about 25 people, both from Amaoti, Durban and internationally.

Happiness -

I got to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior at the age of 16. I got married at the age of 19. I am still serving God, I feel bad when I see someone hungry or someone sitting at home and doing nothing helpless. My dream is to feed and develop the skills of the people of Amaoti.
