We have recently bought a house on Cardham Rd, close to our field offices at Brookdale Secondary School.  This house will function as the operational base of the community based projects; the Children and Family Support Team operate from this house. The Centre is a point of contact for people in the Community who are in crisis, who need information or advice, would like counseling in relation to trauma or status, we also hope to offer specific therapy for children and young adults.

The Centre will offer drop in advice and support, and have specific appointments for counseling and therapy.  A pool of counselors will be used from the local churches in the
Durban area.

The space available in the property will
be used for a reception & waiting area,
and the bedrooms be used for an office,
one on one counseling and if appropriate
an examination room.  In the instance that
we run support groups the reception area
can be used.

The outside space is ideal to be used for the main waiting area, with the installation of a canopy to protect those waiting from the elements.  If space allows a children’s play area or jungle gym could be installed.

There is sufficient space at the rear of the property for a prefab classroom for ABET and other training.
